As we draw to a close I would like to thank you for over 37 years of dedication to Dale's Refrigeration & Heating. We have always valued our customers and want you to know how much we truly appreciate you.

 To our valued customers:

 It is with a heavy heart that I inform all of you that Dale’s Refrigeration & Heating’s building has been sold (I have accepted an offer) and the business is in negotiations with a trusted local HVAC company to have them acquire and take over Dale’s Refrigeration & Heating’s business operations.

The decision to sell Dale’s Refrigeration and Heating was not an easy one and is a direct result of COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with staffing issues and supply chain shortages. In the negotiations with the trusted local HVAC Company, at this time, we are discussing a way to allow the current staff to remain employed by the new owner as we strive to make this transition by years end. I am confident the new company will continue with the customer care and service we have strived for over the past 37 plus years and with some more added services.

I, Jill, will be here at the Dale’s Refrigeration & Heating current location, 25 N 2^ND ST, until March 1 or April 1 to sell everything we have in stock that isn’t acquired by the new company.  I will be trying to sell as much inventory (fixtures, furniture, sheet metal equipment, refrigeration tools & tanks, tools, etc.) before March 1^st, so please stop in to see what we have available.

As things progress or change, I will continue to post status updates. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to stop in or give me a call. Thank you for over 37 years of loyal patronage and community support, it has been truly appreciated.

Office Manager, Sales of Major Household Appliances, Parts ordering, Web Master (I work on the Web site - can't say master!) and more - Stop in and say Hi!

Jill started working in the business from the start but also worked out of the business until 1989 when she came to the store full time and finally started to get a pay check a few years later!
Jill enjoys genealogy, camping, ATVing, bowling, skiing, hiking, swimming and more! Jill is an avid Greenbay Packer & Milwaukee Brewers fan! Jill & Dale have two daughters Letece & Megan who use to help out in the store from time to time. Letece is an Occupational Therapist,  married to her college sweetheart Brandon and lives in Reedsburg, they have 3 adorable children that Jill trys to get to see as often as she can. Megan is a doctor of Natural Pathic medicine and has her Masters in Acupuncture. She married her Grad school sweetheart Derek and lives in New Berlin. 

Vicky Emerson - Bookkeeping 

Vicky actually helped me to set up my books back when we did them manually in 1986. Vicky came back last October to help me get caught up with my entries and we decided to keep her around as a part time office help. Vicky enjoys singing in her church choir and volunteering time with her church. She works for her husband Mark's business which keeps her very busy. Stop in on a Saturday and say Hi!

Jeff Taylor - HVAC technician & installer.

Jeff has been an employee of Dale's for over 18 years, on & off. Jeff has 3 children and 4 step children with his Fiance Kat and a total of 9 grandchildren.  In his spare time he enjoys fishing, camping and restoring cars and trucks.  He is an avid NASCAR fan and loves the Green Bay Packer's!

Lee Amborn is the father of our former employee Jason Amborn, now proud owner of Amborn Home and Handyman Service 715-299-0247 - call him for your appliance service needs -  and a retired teacher for the Black River Falls School District at the middle school as the art instructor. Lee works part time for us helping in many areas such as: deliveries, uncrating appliances, service and more and if that isn't enough you can have Lee pour you a beer and our local Brewery - Sand Creek Brewery located on Pierce Street - he works here part time as well.

 Lee lives in Black River Falls with his wife Kim and is an avid Wisconsin Badger's fan, Milwaukee Brewer's Fan &  Green Bay Packers Fan....Go Pack Go. Lee is also an Army Veteran so be certain to thank him for his service!

Dina Hansen worked many years ago for Dale's part time when she was in high school - filing and other office duties. Now she helps us out on weekends working Saturday's. Dina is a huge hockey fan cheering her children on in all their hockey and other sport ventures. Dina and husband Steve are huge Milwaukee Brewer fans as well has Greenbay Packers and more. Stop in on a Saturday and say Hi!

Dale is a graduate of Western Wisconsin Technical College. Dale worked in Steven's Point, Glencoe Minnesota, Black River Falls, Marshfield and than back to Black River Falls where he started Dale's Refrigeration & Heating July 1, 1984. We started out of our home, opened our first store front in 1986 and was located at 25 Main Street in Black River Falls (this is the current location of Moe's Hardware Hank gun & sporting goods section of their store). Moved up Main Street to 212 Main (this is where the Buzz & Brew Shop is currently located) and finally settled in our current location, 25 N 2ND ST on Labor Day week end 1999. Dale enjoys FISHING, hunting, bowling, horse shoes, camping and did we mention FISHING! He is an avid Packer, Brewer, Badger & Bucks Fan.

Sadly Dale passed away after loosing his battle with cancer on February 1, 2011.  We are still committed to the quality and service that Dale & I founded this company on over 35 years ago. We look forward to serving you now and for many years to come! (Jill)
